Your website isn't.

Built for salons

Made for how
a salon actually runs.

Beauty salon software that knows a balayage isn't a trim, a master stylist charges more, and colour clients need bringing back every six to eight weeks.

Priced by stylist level

New talent, senior and master stylists can each have their own price, time and commission for the same service, so a master stylist can charge more.

Colour, timed right

A 60-minute cut, a 90-minute root touch-up or a three-and-a-half-hour balayage, with add-ons like toner, gloss or a bond builder, and a buffer after if you want one.

Consultations and patch tests first

Offer a short consultation as its own service, ask your own required questions, and approve online bookings before they're confirmed if you want. Change the services at check-in once the plan is set.

Back up your cancellation policy

Reminders a day and an hour before, a deposit when they book, and a saved card that covers the no-show fee. Flag a client to require a card next time, or block them.

Rebook every six to eight weeks

Set "come back in 42 days" on a colour. A follow-up list shows who's due, clears itself when they rebook, and you can see how many rebooked at checkout.

Salon payroll, tips and retail

Commission per stylist, hours from the time clock and tips per person, all in one payroll report. Sell shampoo and styling products on the client's invoice.

Plus recurring bookings every 1 to 12 weeks, so a regular colour client can leave with her next six appointments already booked.

Questions

Questions salon owners ask.

Straight answers, including what FreshBookings doesn't do yet.

Can I charge different prices for new talent, senior and master stylists?

Yes. Prices, durations and commission can be set per stylist, so a master stylist can charge more and take longer for the same service. Clients pick a stylist by name or choose "anyone available".

Can a hair salon booking system handle a three-hour balayage?

Yes. Each service has its own length, from a 30-minute blow-dry to a balayage of three hours or more, with add-ons like toner, gloss or a bond builder chosen when booking, and buffer time after if you want it.

Can I book another client while colour is processing?

Not yet. A booking holds the stylist for its full length. Set each colour service to the time it really takes, so the form only offers times that work.

Can new clients book a consultation or patch test first?

Yes. Add a consultation as its own short service, ask your own required questions on the form, such as recent colour or allergies, and approve bookings first if you want to check new clients. You can change the services at check-in once the plan is agreed.

Can I take deposits and keep a card on file?
Yes. Ask for a deposit, a fixed amount or a % of the booking, when clients book online, and it comes off their bill. Cancel in time and it's refunded automatically; cancel late or don't show and you keep it. You can also ask every client, or only the clients you flag, to save a card. Mark a no-show and the fee is filled in from your default, the deposit counts towards it, and the rest is charged to the card. It all runs through your own Stripe account. How deposits and no-show fees work.
Can I take a deposit only on colour?

Not yet. There's one deposit rule for the salon. A % deposit scales with the price, so a balayage takes more than a blow-dry. Or flag only the clients who need to save a card.

Is there a salon CRM for client history and colour notes?

Yes. Every client has a page with their booking history, notes on them and on each visit (handy for colour formulas), packages and messages. Clients move from customer to lapsed automatically, you can group them by visits or spend, and you can import your client list from CSV or Excel.

Does it work as salon payroll software?

It gives you the numbers. Set commission per stylist, clock hours in and out, track tips per person, and the payroll report adds up hours, commission and tips with a per-booking breakdown. It doesn't pay anyone out or collect booth rent.

Can I sell retail products?

Yes. Turn on the retail module, add products with prices and tax, and sell them on the client's invoice. Stock goes down automatically.

Does the AI receptionist answer my phone or Instagram DMs?

No. It's a chat on your website that answers questions about your services, prices, hours and policies, and books appointments the client confirms with a tap. Calls and DMs still come to you.

Do you do gift cards or memberships?

Not yet. Prepaid packages, punch cards, coupons and referral credit work today.
